Touquet benefits from a small venue, used well to create a very relaxed and intimate feel.
The attention from waitstaff is excellent and experienced, allowing for some good advice regarding meals and wines. Some quick banter added an unexpected dash of humour and engagement that was a refreshing change of pace from the usual encounters in restaurants.
The attention was never intrusive and simply complemented the setting.
The meal was similarly high class, with great flavours, full of subtlety. Everything was cooked to perfection (Snapper for me, Lamb for my partner) and the starters and dessert (Creme Brulee) were the perfect open and finish.
Their range of wines is excellent and allowed us to try a few wines we would not normally experience. All round a super evening in a brilliant little hideaway in the city.
